Police are still searching for two people, after a man was stabbed while trying to stop a fight between a friend and another man in a Kings Cross nightclub.

Witnesses have told police that two men started arguing in the nightclub on Kellett Way early on Saturday morning and a 26-year-old man, who was a friend of one of the men, tried to intervene.

A fight broke out and the 26-year-old was stabbed in the chest, police said.
